Production Assistant

In my spring semester of 2024 I completed my first Co-Op through the University of Cincinnati. I was located in Chicago, Illinois working for a luxury wallpaper and fabric company who also works with artists to help create their own products and coach them through running a business as an artist. As a production assistant, I worked mainly with editing and printing designs through a large format printer and using the Adobe Suite. I assisted on product releases and uploading new products to Etsy and E-commerce websites. I also had the opportunity to install wallpaper and work on large scale mural designs.
Throughout this internship I gained experience with creating a business from scratch as an artist. I created a greeting card and art print company with the help of my boss, Erin Minckley. I surpassed my goal of making a 50% profit margin and making over $400 in profit in a 3 month period. I hope to soon create my own wallpaper and learn more about running a business in the art world.
