The Sidewalk, 2024
48x48, Acrylic Paint
This is the final piece of my series about the connection of mind and body. This semester I have focused my paintings on a timeline of pain and how pain can change throughout our lives. This piece talks about my time during covid lockdown where I began to find myself drawn to exercise as a way to escape.

Self Portrait, 2024
36x48, Acrylic Paint
This piece focuses on the connection on pain to the body and different types of pain we, as humans, experience. This painting discusses the point in my life that I am at today. While working my way through struggles of mental and physical health, art has become a way to preserve and express these pains.

The Field, 2023
30x48
Acrylic
This piece was curated for my family's new house in Houston. I created something to embody both of my parents into one work of art. The garden and flowers are there to represent growth in our family and their relationship while still being a bit chaotic.

I often find myself being lost with what to do next in my artwork. To create piece after piece can become exhausting and overwhelming. After taking a break from art I created this work and I think it embodies my feelings at the time perfectly.
